Developed since August 2018, the actions of the PAEBM Communities are intersectoral and interdisciplinary, involving the internal areas of MRN and external players, namely: Civil Defense, Fire Department and community associations.
The communities of Boa Vista, Boa Nova and Saracá are participating, as well as the employees and contractors of MRN.
PAEBM's interactive actions provide the communities with more information, thus contributing to the evolution of the dialog with the company.
Dynamics:
- The basic content is presented by our representatives
- Community makes remarks, asks questions and makes suggestions
- We submit the interaction results to the community for approval
- If approved, the material is printed and distributed, serving as support in training, visits and drills
Drills
The legislation requires one drill per year; but, our annual goal is two drills in each community. Before each drill, we promote a training cycle for the residents and also in schools.
The drill has four distinct phases, namely: planning, organization, execution and assessment. These phases are all carried out in an integrated manner with the community - starting from planning, through execution and up to assessment. The first drill involved the Boa Vista community, with 57% adherence of the local population, a result that is considered very good for this type of action.
The drill is a practical exercise that simulates a real-life situation, the purpose of which being to evaluate the efficiency of the existing emergency plans and to train response teams and communities. It also seeks to promote integration among the various entities that will be acting jointly in response to possible emergencies.
